Which rules apply to feeding energy back?
For powering the house, the household needed an installer and a notification to the grid operator.
For selling energy to the grid, it would also need a contract, a suitable meter and the grid operator's approval.
The questionWhy does feeding energy back bring in more rules than taking it?
The house installation must handle a source in the house, including safe separation from the grid when the grid fails.

When a car becomes a generator
The EU network code for generators sets technical requirements for grid connection. Power-generating modules connected below 110 kV with a maximum capacity of 0.8 kW or more count as significant, type A, the lowest of its levels. The code excludes storage devices from its scope, so how grid-connection requirements apply to cars and bidirectional wallboxes is set out by national rules and grid operators; the principle is that feeding the grid brings duties that taking from it does not.
A door to the market
RED III asks Member States to allow small and mobile systems, such as electric cars, to take part in electricity markets, including congestion management, flexibility and balancing services, also through , and to set technical requirements for that participation.

3 questions. Answer all of them to complete this stop. Each answer explains itself.
From which capacity does the EU generator network code count a module as significant (type A)?
Article 5: connection below 110 kV and maximum capacity of 0.8 kW or more is type A.
Why does V2G need a meter that counts both directions?
Selling energy or flexibility requires measuring what flows out as well as in.
What must the house installation handle for V2H?
A source inside the house must not feed a failed grid; the installation separates safely.
