In OCPP 2.0.1, the device model describes every component of a charger and its variables in a standard way. An operator can configure and monitor chargers of different manufacturers with the same commands, and set custom monitoring, for example a warning when a temperature passes a threshold. The device model helps operators to reduce downtime and operating costs.
